F.I. and Mary Jones Historic Home

Built in 1896 by F.I. and Mary Jones, this was the first brick home built in Monticello, Utah and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Behind the main house is a detached structure that was used previously as the “Bishop’s Storehouse”. Back in the day, individuals wanting to pay their tithing, (for religious observance), but didn’t have cash could pay in potatoes, eggs, wheat, etc. These items were all stored in the “Bishop’s Storehouse”, then prayerfully given to those in need. The storehouse has now been converted into a studio apartment available for nightly rental. In addition to the storehouse, we have some incredibly fun, (and beautiful), Conestoga covered wagons that are sure to enhance your vacation!
